Oraisons is a site-situ artistic experience that resonates with the monastic past of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez through seven performance installations, playing on the silences and variations of the human soul. It is a hymn to meditation, to returning to oneself, to the breath of Chinese Qi that transcends and allows all forms of vital energy to flow.
It is a way of looking within oneself to discover the wonders of life, but also individual aspirations and the weight of the human condition tempted by the seven deadly sins in the West or the five destructive poisons of humanity in the East.
Let us embark on a journey into the intimacy and authenticity of a place and its inhabitants who preserve, transmit, and live with a site imbued with a unique spiritual character. Thus, from the reclusive life of the Fathers of old to the effervescence of a contemporary social community, only one question remains: how does each person cultivate their garden?
